Abstract
Background: To evaluate Mehran risk score in patients who underwent PCI at the Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital; and prognosis value of Mehran risk score in risk of Contrast-induced Acute Kidney Injury (CIN-AKI); and kidney function follow up after three months and six months. Patients and methods: Analysing 217 patients who underwent PCI from 01/2020 to 03/2021. Calculating Mehran risk score and analyzing the characteristics related to CIN-AKI and following up the kidney function after three months and six months. Results: Patients with CIN-AKI have an average Mehran risk score of 10.92 ± 6.05, which is significantly higher than patients without CIN-AKI. Multivariate logistic analysis showed that Hypotension, age >75, and diabetes were related significantly to CIN-AKI. Mehran risk score >10 has prognosis for CIN-AKI with a sensitivity of 66.7% and specificity of 88.3%. After three months of follow-up, in patients with CIN-AKI, the kidney function improved, there were three patients with EFGR ml/ph/1.73 m2, and these results were maintained for six months of follow-up. Conclusions: Mehran risk score has prognostic value to assess CIN-AKI in patients who underwent PCI. Among the risk factors, Hypotension, age >75, and diabetes are independent risk factors.
