Abstract
Objectives: To examine the percentage of blood pressure control and some related factors in hypertensive patients at the Cardiovascular Department, Thanh Hoa General Hospital.
Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted on 150 hypertensive patients receiving treatment at the Cardiovascular Department, Thanh Hoa General Hospital, from October 2023 to April 2024.
Results: The average age of the participants was 69.9 ± 12.8 years, with the age group 60-80 having the highest incidence of hypertension, using 64. The majority of study participants were men, comprising 67%. 58.5% of the patients had a normal BMI (18.5-22.9). The rate of patients with good blood pressure control was 78.7%. Factors related to blood pressure control included diabetes and smoking (p<0.05).
Conclusion: It is necessary to provide adequate and accurate awareness to change behavior to better control pressure.
