Abstract
Objects:We investigated nurse’s care of myocardial infaction (MI) patients being treated by percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).
Methods: cross – sectional study of patients (pts) with MI is treated by PCI at Hue Central Hospital from Jan 2020 to Jun 2020.
Results: there were 36 pts, consists of 7 pts have age from 35 to 55, 15 pts have age from 55 to 75, and 14 pts have age over 75. In 36 pts, 47% due to hypertension, 8% due to diabetes melitus, 44% due to smoking. Heart rate, blood pressure, urine, pain and compression condition are pathological indicators that need to be closely monitored for timely correction. In addition, insomnia (75%), poor nutrition (30.6%) and limited mobility (41.7%) were common in the first 24 hours, however significantly decreased at the time of hospital discharge. Our study showed that almost successful cases completely discharge with good condition (blood pressure, heart rate, clinical condition) because of good care and carefully following-up.
Conclusion: Basic care of nurse is an important thing to participate in the successful of health of myocardial infarction patients who is treated by PCI.
