Cardiac function assesment post COVID-19

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the world tremendously. In COVID-19 patients, numerous cardiac abnormalities and complications have been reported. Many issues have arisen from approaching, assesssing and managing cardiovascular problems in patients with COVID-19 as well as the safety of returning to physical activities. The ACC’s Consesus in early 2022 with the aim to equip clinician with practical guidelines in the treatment of post-SARS-CoV-2 patients with cardiovascular problems addresses 3 main issues: myocarditis and other heart muscular problems, post-acute sequelae SARS-CoV-2 infection (PASC) and return to physical activities.
